"Moving Through Recovery" is a specialized service designed for individuals who are recovering from an eating disorder and healing a maladaptive relationship with exercise. Whether you have a history of compulsive or excessive exercise or find yourself avoiding it altogether, this service is tailored to meet you where you are and provide support in repairing and fostering a healthier relationship with movement.

All sessions are 50 minutes.

Clearance for movement by a medical doctor is required.

Comprehensively certified in STOTT Pilates, Emily brings a wealth of experience working with clients across various fitness backgrounds and injury rehabilitation. Her expertise extends to working with the eating disorder population, providing a nuanced understanding of the unique needs of individuals who are redefining their relationship with movement and exercise. Built upon a foundation of diaphragmatic breathing and mindfulness, these sessions explore both the physical and psychological responses to gradual and gentle movement, following an individualized stepwise approach.

Comprehensively certified in STOTT Pilates, Emily offers private Mat Pilates sessions (virtual & in-person) designed to bring you the transformative power of Pilates-based mindful movement. Through these sessions, you can experience numerous benefits of incorporating Pilates into your movement routine including improved core strength, mobility, and stability, a balance between strength and flexibility, and injury prevention, among others. Pilates fosters enhanced body awareness and builds a strong mind-body connection that extends beyond the session and into everyday life.

All sessions are 50 minutes. A complimentary, 30-minute session is offered to all first-time clients.
